Xylophanes jordani The wingspan is 50–56 mm. The females are larger than the males. It is similar to "Xylophanes thyelia thyelia" but distinguishable by the conspicuous dark brown basal area of the forewing upperside and the shape of the postmedian lines. The forewing upperside has a conspicuous dark brown basal area, bounded distally by a sharp transverse edge. The postmedian lines arising on the inner edge are much more distally than in "Xylophanes thyelia thyelia" or "Xylophanes pyrrhus". The first and second postmedian lines are narrow, parallel and close. The fourth and fifth postmedian lines run parallel to the second postmedian line to the inner margin.
Enyo boisduvali It is similar to "Enyo lugubris lugubris", but can be distinguished by the well-developed, strongly dentate postmedian lines on the undersides of both wings. Furthermore, the centre of the thorax is paler grey than the tegulae and it contains a dark brown or black median inverted Y-shaped mark. The postmedian area of the forewing upperside is dark with orange highlights. There are three well-developed transverse postmedian lines on both the forewing and hindwing underside.
Temnora pylades The forewings are similar to "Temnora pylas pylas", but the apex is more acutely pointed and the tornus is more produced backwards. The hindwing costa is slightly dilated basally. The forewing upperside is also similar to "Temnora pylas pylas" but the centre of the antemedian band is not filled in with brown, the postmedian band is less well developed (appearing more like an oblique diffuse shade), the grey triangular area is bound by the costa and the postmedian band and submarginal line are smaller and less distinct. The hindwing upperside is also similar to "Temnora pylades pylades", but the postmedian line is darker and often visible within the orange postmedian band.
Xylophanes loelia The wingspan is about 72 mm. It is intermediate between "Xylophanes libya" and "Xylophanes neoptolemus". The hindwings are narrower than in "Xylophanes libya", and the first postmedian line of the forewing underside is thin, continuous, more oblique and not as dark. The second and third postmedian lines are faintly indicated, and the fourth postmedian line is not as conspicuous. The median band on the hindwing upperside is redder (but paler than in "Xylophanes neoptolemus"), and the marginal band is more even, narrow and sharply defined. The postmedian lines of the hindwing underside are straighter and not divided into spots. The inner edge of the marginal band is more even and continuous.
Ercheia amoena The wingspan is about 50 mm. The forewings are very variegated. The costal edge is narrowly blackish, irregularly dotted with ochreous and the costal area from the base to the postmedian line and a narrow area between the postmedian and subterininal lines are predominantly warm brown. There is a broad central streak from the base nearly to the postmedian and the terminal area is predominantly vinaceous. The hindwings are blackish fuscous, but pale and glossy at the costal margin.
Evergestis subterminalis The wingspan is about 30 mm. The forewings are dark grey, crossed by black angled antemedian and postmedian lines. The median area is suffesed and bordered with white scales. The area between the postmedian and subterminal lines is rust-red and the terminal area is grey. The hindwings are pale pink-ochre with a dark postmedian line and a broader terminal band. Adults have been recorded on wing from July to October.
Xylophanes guianensis It is similar to "Xylophanes ceratomioides", but the outer margin of the forewing margin is much more strongly scalloped and the dorsal lines of the abdomen are as in "Xylophanes xylobotes". The costa of the forewing upperside has several conspicuous subapical and apical black spots, the largest subapical spot is quadrate. Most distal antemedian lines and most basal postmedian lines meet on inner edge of the forewing upperside. The postmedian lines are clearly visible within the postmedian area. They are almost straight, except toward the inner edge of the wing. The pale brown excavated area on the outer margin of the postmedian band is narrow, rectangular and not well defined due to the visible presence within it of the third, fourth and fifth postmedian lines. The pale bands of the hindwing upperside are intermediate in coloration between those of "Xylophanes ceratomioides" and "Xylophanes xylobotes".
Xylophanes libya The wingspan is 68–74 mm. The first postmedian line on theforewing upperside is double and the fourth postmedian line is heavier than the others, which are equally developed. Most individuals have a black dot in discal cell and a black subapical costal spot. The forewing underside is more heavily marked black and brown than "Xylophanes loelia" and "Xylophanes neoptolemus". The ground colour is uniform beyond the brown basal patch. The first postmedian line arising from the brown basal patch area is interrupted at the veins. The fourth postmedian line consists of a row of vein spots. There is a conspicuous black subapical spot present. The hindwing upperside is dark brown or black. The median band is pale orange-pink, parallel sided along most of its length. The hindwing underside is more heavily marked black and brown than "Xylophanes loelia" and "Xylophanes neoptolemus" and has two postmedian lines, the inner more marked and formed by a series of spots.
Cosmopterix flavidella The species name refers to the yellowish postmedian band and is derived from Latin "flavus" (meaning golden yellow).
Temnora radiata It is similar to "Temnora mirabilis", but lacks the continuous, evenly curved pale postmedian line on the forewing upperside.
